Early deadlines for submissions

Due to the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, Heartland Media Group of Central Illinois & Eastern Missouri is setting early deadlines for news and advertising publication for both weeks.

Deadlines for Christmas week

We will accept news items and advertising during business hours on Monday, December 23 and submissions should arrive no later than 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24. These are deadlines set for any content pre-scheduled to publish on Christmas Day or slated for publication on December 26.

The deadline will revert to 5 p.m. for advertising, legal notices, and obituaries and 11 p.m. for news and sports content for the remainder of the week from Thursday, December 26 to Saturday, December 28.

Deadlines for New Year’s week

News items and advertising will be accepted during business hours on Monday, December 30 and arrive no later than noon on New Year’s Eve, December 31. These are deadlines set for any content pre-scheduled to publish on New Year’s Day or on January 2, 2025.

The deadline will revert to 5 p.m. for advertising, legal notices, and obituaries and 11 p.m. for news and sports content for the remainder of the week from Thursday, January 2 to Saturday, January 4.

Amazon HUB delivery schedule

Barring any interruptions in delivery service, Amazon HUB deliveries are still expected to take place Monday and Tuesday without issue prior to the Christmas holiday. There will be no deliveries scheduled on Christmas Day and December 26 due to holidays observed within Amazon and the HUB program. Deliveries will resume Friday, December 27 on schedule through Tuesday, December 31.

Deliveries are not scheduled to take place on New Year’s Day, January 1, due to an observed holiday. Service will resume on Thursday, January 2.
