At-Home Techniques to Keep Your Jawline Sculpted
You probably know by now that Lauryn works out her face like she works out her body. It’s one of the most effective ways to prevent signs of aging and there are also health benefits as well. Having strong facial muscles as well as a strong jaw can prevent facial features from drooping and maybe even decrease snoring due to wider airways.
Regardless, the fact that you can do all of these exercises in the comfort of your own home in just a few minutes has us asking, why wouldn’t you?!
So in this post we’re going to share the benefits of facial exercises (aka myofunctional therapy) and the practices Lauryn finds most effective.
At-Home Techniques to Keep Your Jawline Sculpted
MASSAGE:
+ Press a few drops of depuffing oil into your skin.
+ Using both hands on each side of your face, place the knuckle of your index finger under your jawline and the knuckle of your middle finger on the top of your jawline.
+ Starting at your chin, glide your knuckles up your jawline to the bottom of your ear.
+ Next, stretch the fascia in your face by pinching your brows between your thumb and index finger, then place your fingers above and a little behind the top of your ear and gently pull away from your face.
HOT TIP: our facial massager grips the skin and contours your cheekbones and jawline perfectly.
BONUS MASSAGE: After her facial massage and fascia stretch, Lauryn finished by pulling her hair and stretching her scalp. Just grab a handful of your hair and gently pull up. You’ll feel the stretch on your scalp and notice how good it feels. You’ll be addicted to this!
MOUTH TAPE:
+ 10-15 minutes after applying your evening skincare, apply Mouth Tape.
+ Enjoy the deepest sleep of your life.
+ In the morning, spritz a little mist and gently peel off your mouth tape.
HOT TIP: since nasal breathing strengthens and sculpts the jaw, try mouth taping during the day when you’re at home.
MEWING:
+ Close your lips and teeth together (but don’t clench too hard).
+ Push your tongue up so it’s flattened on the roof of your mouth and the tip of your tongue is against your top teeth.
+ Stay that way for as long as you want or can.
HOT TIP: mew while you drive, cook, read, walk, shower, or anywhere really.
BENEFITS OF STRONG FACIAL MUSCLES:
+ Increased circulation
+ Enhanced facial symmetry
+ Improved muscle tone
+ Combats sagging and wrinkles
+ Improves skin’s radiance
+ Firmer, tighter facial muscles
+ Increases elasticity
See? Why wouldn’t you do these super simple, quick and effective facial exercises.
