For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits for women, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional.

It’s that time of year, ladies: blue suit time! I’m seeing a million suits out, so instead of featuring one in particular for our Suit of the Week, I thought we’d have a conversation about them in general: do you wear a blue suit during the spring and summer? Which shade of blue have you found to be the most versatile? What colors do you like to the wear the suit with, and do you wear the suiting pieces together or mostly as separates?

For my $.02, I was shocked when I first realized how versatile my light blue blazer was.

I wore it a ton, mostly with black (pants, sheath dresses) and white tops and blouses, with the occasional pop of color like a red pendant necklace or purple heel thrown in.

That said, while I’ve found the light blue blazer to be amazingly versatile, I think light blue pants or a light blue skirt can be a lot less versatile (although I suppose blue pants could take the place of my beloved staple, light gray pants). How about you?

Our Latest Favorite Light Blue Suits for Women

Our Latest Favorite Women’s Suits in Cobalt

There are some great medium blue suits (that aren’t navy) out in 2025! Check J.Crew, M.M. LaFleur, and Akris. If you’re looking for a cobalt, try Tahari, Kasper, or Eloquii. On the more casual side, Eileen Fisher has a nice linen/silk option in classic and plus sizes.

Our Latest Favorite Teal Blue Suits for Women

As of 2025, if you’re hunting for teal or blue-green suiting, look to Argent, M.M.LaFleur, and Reiss. Nordstrom has a few lucky sizes left in these statement suits from L’Agence and St. John’s, as does Talbots for this pretty twill suit. In plus sizes, check out the Moroccan blue suit at Eloquii.

The Best Light Blue Suits for Women in 2025

Eloquii

One of Eloquii’s best selling suits comes in cornflower blue as well as a tealy blue “Moroccan” color. They’re lovely colors! You can find a blazer as well as a matching skirt and pant.

Another great affordable option in classic and plus sizes: Tahari.

Ann Taylor

This “brisk blue” suit from Ann Taylor has a polished, fun look to it — and it’s great to see a matching trouser, as well as pants, in both classic and petite sizes.

They also have a darker, almost stormy blue suit (“precious sapphire”), but they’re down to lucky sizes in some of the pieces.

J.Crew

It’s annoying that J.Crew doesn’t show these blue suiting pieces together, but so it goes — although I don’t recommend wearing this kind of slip skirt to work.

The stretch merino wool fabric has a matching dress and mid-rise, straight-cut pant, all available in classic, plus, petite, and tall sizes.

Brooks Brothers

I was excited to see that the Essential Brooks Brothers Stretch Wool suiting collection has light blue options this year, including a blazer and wide-legged pants! It’s available in sizes 0-16.

Argent

This seasonless wool suit caught my eye in cobalt — but it also comes in SIX other colors, including sedate and fun ones. Argent, the brand, is particularly noteworthy for its size inclusivity — a lot of their clothing is available up to size 14.

(I think when it’s not listed on a particular color it’s because they’ve sold out more than it wasn’t made — so check back if you’re on the hunt and your preferred size and color isn’t there.)

The single button blazer is $395, and the matching pleated pants are $295. They actually have a ton of suiting in seasonless wool if you’re looking! (Here’s our latest roundup of the best seasonless suiting for women!)

Reiss

You can always trust Reiss to have lovely suiting, and this pale blue suit looks like polished perfection. The pieces are $285-$475 at Nordstrom and Reiss (where they also have matching shorts, should that be your thing).

Victoria Beckham

This dusty gray-blue, almost lavender blue is another versatile color. Looking for suits with pockets? There are large patch pockets on both the pants and blazer here. The pieces are $750-$1290, at Nordstrom.

Also in this price range (ish) is Eleventy’s light blue suit, and a number of options from maje.

Akris

I loooove the light blue, almost greenish suit from Akris, and I love how they’ve styled it with a different shade of blue — so chic. Alas, it is the most expensive of the bunch – the silk blend blazer is $3990, at Nordstrom. Akris actually has a plethora of blue suiting options right now, including this pale blue cotton/silk suit, this baby blue dress and jacket combo, and this sky blue oversized pantsuit.
