Wellness Q&A With MacroHabits Founder, Hannah Pointer
You’ve probably seen Hannah of @macro_habits all over you feed and met her in her blog posts about castor oil patches and reverse dieting.
Today we’re featuring Hannah’s wellness Q&A from a recent TSC newsletter because we love her wellness mindset.
To reintroduce you, Hannah is an entrepreneur, trainer and founder of MacroHabits. After her own journey with excessive cardio and restricting calories, Hannah discovered the benefits of essentially eating more and exercising differently to get the results she wanted. As you can see, she’s achieved them. Hannah will be back on the blog with more on that later.
Let’s get right into Hannah’s wellness tips.
Wellness Q&A With MacroHabits Founder, Hannah Pointer
Q. Favorite skincare hack?
I love my red light therapy mask from Omnilux! It reduces fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and redness. I put it on after my skincare for 10 minutes, 4-5 times a week in the evenings and notice a big difference when I consistently do this. I am also a huge believer in gua sha and ice rolling. I have a routine that I do religiously every morning to de-puff, contour, and snatch my face. I love that this also yields immediate results and you can see a difference right away.
Q. Your non-negotiables in your wellness routine?
I have four non-negotiables that I do every day no matter where I am. My supplements, some type of movement, protein intake, and a gallon of water per day keeps me feeling good in terms of bloating, digestion, and ultimately sets me up for success when it comes to motivation and staying on track throughout the day.
Two out of these three things are also free depending on the movement you’re choosing. Water and movement might seem “generic” but if you’re consistent with it, it goes a long way and can be a catalyst in someone’s health & fitness journey. My favorite way to move my body is walking, weight-lifting, and Pilates. I incorporate all three into my workout split and feel my best when I prioritize these three ways to move.
Protein has the highest thermic effect, it’s the most satiating macronutrient, reduces cravings, boosts your metabolism, and is vital for building muscle. It doesn’t matter if I’m at home and in routine or on a weekend trip, I will always center my meals and snacks around protein alongside other “fun foods.”
Q. Favorite TSC products & why?
I love the ice roller for de-puffing, the Brow Peptide keeps my brows hydrated and lifted, the caffeinated sunscreen is the perfect amount of light coverage and stays on throughout the day. I love the Mint Roller for when I travel too.
