Three Predictions: Murph, Konanbanny, Osenda

Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman has a trio of predictions on another big commitment on the way for South Carolina, Florida filling out its 2025 class and Tennessee picking up another big-time offensive linemen.

1. SOUTH CAROLINA WILL LAND DONOVAN MURPH

Donovan Murph will reveal his college decision on Jan. 2. The No. 27 wide receiver in the Rivals250 is set to choose between South Carolina and Clemson in a matter of days after visiting back and forth between both in-state contenders. Since reclassifying into the 2025 class, Murph has been a regular visitor in Columbia, his hometown, and also made consecutive trips to Death Valley leading into the Early Signing Period.

We view South Carolina as the favorite to win out for the touted four-star receiver. The Gamecocks have been cleaning up recruiting in-state talent with several big-time additions via the transfer portal as well. In keeping with the theme, the Gamecocks are in line for one more big addition on the offensive side of the ball as Shane Beamer and South Carolina enter next season as one of the top contenders from the SEC.

2. FLORIDA WILL FLIP ONIS KONANBANNY

Onis Konanbanny committed to Tennessee over Florida State before his senior season got underway. The four-star defensive back originally from the United Kingdom did not ink in December. Prior to the Early Signing Period, Konanbanny took his first visit outside of Knoxville since committing to the Vols and he went to Florida.

Around National Signing Day, multiple sources informed Rivals that the Gators emerged as a very realistic threat to flip Konanbanny. New intel suggests the Rivals250 DB has returned to the Swamp since, furthering the Gators’ chances of flipping the touted defender. We expect Florida to continue its recent run of flips and late fireworks in the form of Konanbanny before long.

3. TENNESSEE WILL ADD ANOTHER BLUE-CHIP OL

Four-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda is one of the top offensive tackles in the 2026 class. The touted tackle will reveal his college commitment on Jan. 14 and will choose among Florida, Minnesota, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Osenda made game-day visits to Rocky Top, Columbia and Athens. As a decision nears, all indicators are that the Volunteers are in pole position with the in-state blue chipper. Since arriving in Knoxville, Josh Heuepel and Glen Elabree have made a habit out of locking in high-level OL to build this offense around.

I like where Tennessee is positioned with Osenda and am predicting the four-star OT to join Brandon Anderson as an early foundational pieces in the Vols’ 2026 recruiting class.
