Tennessee scoops up commitment from blue-chip OT Gabriel Osenda
Gabriel Osenda has been a priority target in the 2026 class for schools around the country.
After a stellar junior season and a week competing in the Navy All-American Bowl, the four-star offensive tackle has locked in his college decision.
Tennessee landed a commitment from Osenda, the No. 21-ranked OT in the Rivals250, on Saturday from the AAB in San Antonio. Osenda declared for the in-state Vols over Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Minnesota, other finalists for the blue-chipper on the offensive line.
Osenda was a regular visitor in Rocky Top this fall, which furthered Tennessee’s lead as he moved closer to his decision.
“It was definitely hard since I have built great relationships with so many of these coaches and and I have tremendous respect for all of them, but Rocky Top is the place I feel I need to be at,” Osenda told Rivals of his decision.
“What most excites me about Rocky Top is the atmosphere surrounding the program,” he continued. “The fans are amazing and the opportunities to play at the most athletic school and playing in an elite conference — it gives me an opportunity to get better every day.”
Osenda made a pair of game-day visits to Knoxville in-season, including taking in the Florida and Kentucky contests.
More visit around Glen Elarbee, Josh Heupel, and some of the current Vols players inside Neyland Stadium put Tennessee in the driver’s seat.
“They are very personable people. Talking to them felt very genuine and it feels like a place I could do really well with great leaders and coaches like coach Elarbee and coach Heupel,” Osenda detailed.
“One of the biggest reasons was just seeing how elite and dominant the offensive line was this year,” he added of the Vols up front. “Every time I took a visit it felt more and more like the place I wanted to be at and a place I feel I could thrive at.”
