Bill Belichick watched girlfriend Jordon Hudson compete for Miss Maine title

Belichick reportedly had a quiet presence at Saturday’s event.

As Jordon Hudson has been frequently seen by Bill Belichick’s side in his first few months as North Carolina’s head coach, it was the former Patriots coach’s turn to support his girlfriend in a professional setting.
Belichick, 73, was seen in attendance at the Miss Maine Pageant on Saturday, watching Hudson compete for the 2025 title. Belichick had a quiet presence at Saturday’s event, which was held at Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, according to multiple reports. In an image captured by the New York Post, Belichick was seated in the first row and dressed up for the occasion, wearing a suit and tie.
Hudson, 24, was seeking to win Miss Maine 2025 after finishing as the runner-up in 2024. As she wore a purple strapless, sequin dress, Hudson smiled in Belichick’s direction on multiple occasions during Saturday’s event, according to The Boston Globe‘s Mark Shanahan.
Unsurprisingly, Hudson was the most famous person involved in Miss Maine 2025. However, there was some history made during Saturday’s preliminaries. Isabelle St. Cyr, a native of Monson, Maine, became the first transgender woman to compete for Miss Maine.
Hudson, a native of Hancock, Maine, won’t find out if she’ll avenge her runner-up finish from last year’s performance until Sunday. When Saturday’s preliminaries ended, she and the other contestants took part in a “pajama and pizza party” elsewhere in the hotel. Belichick left the ballroom when the lights went down at the end of Saturday’s event, according to multiple reports.
Hudson’s participation in Miss Maine 2025 came as her relationship with Belichick has dominated headlines as of late, largely thanks to his interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” in late April. In that interview, Hudson shut down a question asked by Tony Dokoupil on how the couple met, saying, “We’re not talking about that.”
That interview led to news surrounding Hudon’s personal life and details of Belichick’s relationship with her emerging over the last couple of weeks. It also called into question her involvement with the UNC program. As Belichick said that he and Hudson have a “professional” relationship in addition to a personal one, it was reported by Pablo Torre that UNC had banned Hudson from the football facilities.
However, UNC denied that report.
“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,” the athletics department said in a statement Friday. “Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
Belichick has only commented publicly about his relationship with Hudson once since the CBS interview, defending her in a statement made earlier in May.
“She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track,” Belichick said. “Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021.”
