Adding to the drama, former Dragon Zac Lomax fights back tears when speaking to Fox League in the immediate moments after his match-winning field goal.

Lomax spent the first seven seasons of his NRL career at the Dragons and still has many good mates at the Red V.

He and his new teammates erupted in celebration of the field goal at CommBank Stadium, but he was subdued in his chat with Fox.

“It’s a tough one,” Lomax said.
