Front Porch Planters

When we purchased our home, I was anxious to update exterior to make it feel warm and welcoming. Through time, we painted the brick exterior, added copper lanterns, copper gutters, a new Dutch Door and landscaping. Porch planters really make it pop – especially in late fall, winter and early Spring when our garden looks a little dreary.

Porch Planter Tips

  • Size Matters – Bigger is better to give porch planters impact from the street.
  • Drainage – Choose a planter with drainage holes for fresh plants to keep them healthy.
  • How Many – A single large-scaled planter can make an impact on its own. Use two planters to flank a door, columns or steps for symmetry or a trio of small, medium and large planters gathered together.

Runner Up

I love the timeless style, available in white, navy and black for less than $50. They have drainage holes, so they’re suitable for fresh and faux fillers. Our paint has scratched off after a few years of use.

Lattice Planters

I love these planters and am impressed with the quality – especially given the price $2/50! They look pretty on our porch, deck and dock!
