Eagles to White House; Philly Yarn Crawl; Weekly gun violence brief

The White House announced Tuesday that it will welcome the Super Bowl champion Eagles on April 28, which is pretty standard sports stuff — except that the Eagles’ invitation was withdrawn after their 2018 title, when there were reports most of the team would not show.

And then there’s the fact President Trump seemed to be a Kansas City Chiefs fan. But put that behind us. The Eagles are going, though with the recent run of free agent departures and trades, we’ll see who shows up in D.C. Continue reading …

Knitting, crocheting and weaving all enjoyed a resurgence during the pandemic, as folks found themselves at home with time on their hands. Ultimately, this led to the Great Philly Yarn Crawl, which is back for its second year, bringing together 18 shops across the Greater Philadelphia area from Thursday, March 13, to Sunday, March 16.
