Host families sought for international high school students

The Rotary Club of Buckhead is calling on Atlanta families to open their homes to an international high school exchange student during the 2025-2026 school year.

As part of the organization’s Rotary Youth Exchange program, The Rotary Club of Buckhead is looking for three different host families to house one international student throughout the upcoming academic year.

Each respective family would host the student for approximately 90 to 100 days, while the student attends North Atlanta High School.

“The exchange student will be integrated into your family, participating as a member of the household and experiencing American culture as a high school teenager,” said The Rotary Club of Buckhead in a letter. “This program offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about a different country and build lifelong relationships.”

The Rotary Club says that prospective families should be able to provide a safe and comfortable living arrangement for the student, as well as having an openness to the international exchange situation.

The organization adds that, while it would be preferable that the initial host family have high school students to “help the exchange student get settled and oriented at the school,” it is not a requirement.

Interested families can contact Collette Brown (the Rotary Youth Exchange Officer) by phone at (973) 713-6405 or via email at cbrown@georgiabanking.com.
