The incredible 100-night cruise journey that costs a whopping £14k | World | News

For those of you already feeling the weight of the new year and thinking about your next escape, how would you feel about an 100-night round-the-world cruise?

Yes, you heard it right — a cruise line is offering a remarkable 100-night journey in 2027, setting sail from New York, and a place aboard could be yours for just under £15,000.

This inaugural trip is the first of a few cruises that offer a 100-night journey allowing you to visit 32 ports in total.

Cunard cruises, which is offering this package, is known for its full world voyages that visit Asia, Australasia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

The Queen Victoria cruise line embarks from New York and heads straight to the capital of the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, Oranjestad.

Located on the western coast of the Caribbean Sea, Oranjestad is known for its colorful buildings and vibrant culture.

On day 8, passengers will cross the famous Panama Canal, experiencing the locks at either side of Gatun Lake before continuing on to Mexico on day 14.

By day 18, the cruise will dock in Los Angeles, where the journey takes a turn into the Pacific Ocean. Five days later, you’ll reach the idyllic island of Honolulu in Hawaii.

Fiji is the next stop on day 31, followed by New Caledonia after a relaxing day at sea. The cruise then heads to Australia, with two days in Sydney, a major highlight of the trip.

From there, the adventure continues through Asia, starting in Indonesia on day 49 and arriving in Hong Kong on days 55 and 56. Passengers will then journey across Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang in Malaysia.

A five-day cruise on the Indian Ocean takes travellers to Mauritius by day 71. Then, it’s off to the African continent, with explorations of Port Elizabeth and Cape Town in South Africa, Namibia and Dakar in Senegal over the course of 10 days.

Finally, the last leg of the journey sees you stopping in Tenerife, Spain, before arriving in Southampton in the UK, where the adventure will come to an end.

In total, you will travel a distance of 33,123 miles, seeing the world at a leisurely pace, all while enjoying the luxury and comfort of a world-class cruise liner.

Packages start at £14,672 per person for the Britannia Inside room ranging to £57,141 per person for the Queens Grill Suites.

While the 100-night world cruise is scheduled for 2027, Cunard has already garnered praise for its shorter world cruise segments.

One traveller, who shared her experience on Cruise Critic, a Tripadvisor company renowned for its comprehensive guides and cruise reviews, said she was “pleasantly surprised” by her 41-day trip aboard the Queen Victoria from Sydney to Cape Town.

She said: “Having done the maiden World Cruise in 2008, we were pleasantly surprised with our 41-day segment of the 2024 World Cruise from Sydney to Capetown.

“The crew were pleasant, the pianist in the Commodore Club was excellent, our room steward was among the best ever encountered and all waiters in the Britannia Restaurant were friendly and accommodating.”

However, she also noted some areas for improvement which have also been suggested by other passengers on the platform. She expressed that her dining experience was a letdown, describing the food as “Quite simply, boring and unimaginative cuisine”.
