Adi Soffer-Teeni, who has served as Meta general manager Israel for the past decade, has been appointed Meta VP and a member of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) management in addition to retaining her current position. As part of her new role, she will be the general manager for Meta in Spain and Italy and manage all gaming activities in Europe, while continuing to live in Israel.
Meta, which was founded as Facebook by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004, opened its R&D center and local office in Israel 11 years ago to focus on working with hundreds of local and international startups. This activity concentrates on developing the global growth and expansion capabilities of early stage startups.

Before joining Facebook, Soffer-Teeni, 53, headed the B2C division of online gambling company 888, and was previously CEO of Kidum and the Wall Street School for Learning English, chair of software company Ginger and a director of Perion Network.
Soffer-Teeni said, “This is a strong and impressive vote of confidence in Israel during a very challenging time for the country around the world. This is also a badge of honor for Meta’s office in Israel and the huge ecosystem that we have built over the past decade.
