Attention! Beware of falling debris from a disabled U.S. spy satellite that may hit earth grounds by late February or early March. Officials said that the spy satellite is no longer within their control. It was nonfunctional and they still couldn’t tell on where the debris might land. According to the spokesperson for the National Security Council, Gordon Johndroe, there were numerous satellites from the past years that came out of orbit and fell harmlessly.
The threat however in this case is that debris from the satellite may include hydrazine fuel, which is used usually for rocket maneuvers. The fuel on that satellite may not have been used so there’s a possibility that this will be hazardous to anyone on the ground. Some government agencies are monitoring the situation to keep us updated so that we can take the necessary actions to avoid the harms this satellite might cause.
